Canon EOS-1D Mark IV

Canon has announced its EOS-1D Mark IV camera oriented at professional photographers.

Canon EOS-1D Mark IV is equipped with a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and two high-performance DIGIC 4 image processing engines. The camera is based on the top-notch 45-point autofocus technology, the light sensitivity reaches 102,400 ISO allowing the camera to shoot high-quality images in poor lighting conditions.

Another important feature, making this camera a perfect choice for a professional, is its ability to record Full HD 1920х1080-resolution videos at the speed of 30 fps. Recording at a 720-pixel mode (with a resolution of 1280х720) the recording speed can be increased to 60 fps. The camera provides a mode of continuous shooting at the speed of 10 fps.

The new camera is featuring a 3-inch Clear View II display and supports Live View function. The exposure ranges from 1/8000 to 30 sec, the data can be stored on CompactFlash and Secure Digital flash memory cards, the camera features HDMI and USB 2.0 connectivity.

The camera’s size measures up to 156х157х80mm, and it weights about 1.2kg (without the battery and accessories).

Canon EOS-1D Mark IV will be delivered to stores at the end of December and will be sold at approximately $5,000.
