Photoshop Tutorials
Are there any metal-texture-loving-photoshoppers here?
If there is, you’ll definitely be interested in checking out Filter Forge’s free Photoshop plugin that generates realistic metal. Some examples are: diamond plate metal, tin foil, and ‘alien metal.’

In my honest opinion, this is and absolutely awesome tool! I especially like the diamond plate texture. Did I say it was free? One of the best features about this plugin, in my opinion, is the option to make the texture tileable. What more could you ask for? It’s definitely worth checking out.

Go check it out at the official Filter Forge website.

Ok, ok, I know I’ve already written a tutorial or two on how to make a nice, golden text effect. But again, I’m going to write for you a tutorial on how to make a simple gold text effect by using some layer styles, namely the Gradient Overlay layer style!

I was inspired to do this tutorial after I saw an awesome bit of text on the David Letterman’s website, which you can view here. Props to the awesome David Letterman!
In this quick Photoshop tutorial we’ll be recreating the ‘Bee movie’ text effect, you know, the one you’ve seen all over the place over the last few months?
You can see what we’ll be designing with this tutorial in the below image.

You can see the original text over at the Apple trailers page.
Well what do we have here? Looks like PhotoshopStar has gotten a facelift! What do you all think of it? I hope the majority like it
Personally I love the new one, much more cleaner, easier to look at, more accessible, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, or comments, please leave a comment using the form below this post.
With this new design comes new hope, I’ve neglected this site for long enough, I’m going to try my hardest to bring it back. If anyone has any suggestions for tutorials, please send them to me.
Now I’ve posted this I’ve got to go and check make sure there’s no more glitches with the theme!
Next on the list of things to do… customize the ugly forum skin

Correcting a red over-saturated photo using Photoshop can be either very easy, or very hard. For example, if you have a photo that is completely red rather than just a little bit over the top, then I think you would basically have to desaturate the photo and recolor it from scratch – now this, you don’t want to do.

The easy case though, when you have a photo that is only tinted an abnormal red, this is nice and easy to fix. There’s a few ways to do it, but in this tutorial we’re going to be using some adjustment layers, mostly the Channel Mixer adjustment layers.

For those of you that haven’t visited PhotoshopStar before, the background used to be a nice sky blue, but I thought I would have a change of scenery and change it to a dark gradient… what do you think?
PhotoshopStar might also be getting a complete face lift soon, so look out.

I really love this kind of style, so I thought just I’d share another tutorial with you guys (and girls, of course) on how to design something like what I’ve shown below, a kind of glossy, carbon fiber navigation set

I know I’ve already (somewhat recently) done a tutorial on a designing a clan/gaming template, but this is one looks completely different, and of course I just love designing clan templates! So, in this easy step-by-step tutorial, I’m going to be showing you how to design a somewhat professional, clan-gaming website template. You can see the preview below.

Well, in this easy Photoshop tutorial I’m going to be teaching you how to make a nice website design, a professional (business-style) website design, that is. You can see the website design I’ve made using this tutorial below.

In this quick Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show you how to design a sweet-lookin’ a golden badge, pretty much like this one I’ve designed below. For this tutorial I’ve used the example ‘100% satisfaction guaranteed seal/badge.’
