Photoshop Tutorials
Hi guys, just letting you all know that the folks people over at SitePoint are giving away the Photoshop Anthology (digital format), at no cost.
This offer is only standing for the next 18 days, so you had better get downloadin’.

As far as SitePoint books go, I’ve only bought one once before: the hard copy of The Principles of Beautiful Web Design, and I have to say their stuff is top notch.

There have already been quite a few tutorials around documenting the making of these sleek, supermarket-style badges, but none of them have made them into subscribe badges! Well I actually have no proof of that assumption, but anyway.
In this Photoshop tutorial we’ll be making those cool supermarket-style badges, then we’ll be turning them into subscribe buttons for your website, a must-have for any blog!

In this Photoshop tutorial we’ll be walking through the process of making an abstract artwork, using abstract 3D renders, textures, and more.

David Leggett (GreyCobra) has recently started Tutorial9, GreyCobra’s predecessor. I’ve sort of been following it since the start, since the website looks top-notch quality, and also has some great, helpful tutorials on it.

He’s now taken Photoshop tutorial websites to the next level. What he’s done is made this ‘School of Photoshop,’ in which there are lessons, pre-school, kindergarten, 1st grade, and so on. It’s kind of like ‘You Suck at Photoshop,’ but this is actually helpful.
I recommend the Photoshop newbies definitely check this out, because this guy knows what he’s talking about!

In this Photoshop tutorial I will be walking you through the making of an interesting art piece, “The Eye, the Key of the Soul.”
In this tutorial we will use the burn tool, dodge tool, brushes, layer modes and more to add an interesting effect to an otherwise regular stock photo.

In this Photoshop tutorial we’ll be designing a simple but stylish fashion-themed advert. You know, so you can sell sunglasses and stuff

I was recently notified of a really cool website that has some free, top-notch seamless textures for free download. You can find these textures at All Things Designed. The maker of these textures claims to have been working in the texture industry for years, so you can trust that these are a pretty sweet deal

I wanted to choose the winners judging by if they would use the subs to their fullest extent, so I looked at how active the users were. The winners I’ve come up with:
I decided to throw in a 3-month and a 1-month subscription as well
Sorry to those that were left out, but thank you all for leaving a comment on the previous post.
(Quick note: if you want to add me to your dA friends, visit my page!)

Firstly, sorry for the lack of updates. Now, onto more important matters!
I’m looking to give away 2 12-month deviantART subscriptions, worth $29.95 each. All you have to do to enter this ‘competition’ is leave a comment below, preferably using your deviantART account as the URL!

I’m going to wait until this post receives around/at least 50 comments before drawing the winners, so please feel free to tell your friends about it and get them to leave a comment as well.
Thanks
* the star just means only two people will be receiving the subscriptions!
Please note that this promotion is now over. Thank you!

In this Photoshop tutorial we’ll be learning how to design a simple, urban-style logo, good for your local band website or something like that
You can see exactly what we’ll be designing below.
