when he said Merge all layers of photo on one, merge only the text, the photograph and the old style paper layers. Then you follow the steps.

It does work.

When you do the ctrl click on the layer with the image it will select the outline of the paper. Then click on the new layer you created and apply black fill (with paint bucket) to the area still selected by the marquee. Then unselect it (select, deselect) Then apply filter, brush strokes, spatter. Hope this helps.

I am having the exact same problem at: making the rough edges: (Press Ctrl+ Right click the Layer Thumbnail in the Layers Palette) and fill the selection on the upper layer with black color. Press Ctrl+D to remove the selection. Then apply Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter with the next presets:

Can anyone provide input on this?? Im using CS2 if that helps

Worked great until:
Merge all layer of photo on one. Now I would like to make rough edges photos. For this effect create a new layer and fill it with white color. Then select the photography confines (Press Ctrl+ Right click the Layer Thumbnail in the Layers Palette) and fill the selection on the upper layer with black color. Press Ctrl+D to remove the selection. Then apply Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter with the next presets:

This makes no sense. Can you rewrite it. I can perform steps beyond this.
