You changed the angle of the gradient?? I dont know if that is the problem but if ur pretty new to photoshop or just dont know it:
1. Go to blending options, by right click on it in the layers screen.
2. Tick gradient overlay, and also click on the block next to the tick button.
3. Now u see a round circle with a line in it.. Next to it is a text box..
4. Put in the text box the angle that is showing on this website..

If u did that and it didnt work.. than i dont know the problem

When i merge the diamond parts the gratiant merges in the same direction :*( this is happend before at other tut’s too and i don’t know what makes this happen.

so when i merge 2 sepperate layers with gratiants in different directions it goes in 1 same direction anyone know how i can overcome this problem?
