<p>In this Photoshop tutorial I would like to show you creative way how to displace the text and get an interesting effect on it.</p>
<p><span id="more-5859"></span></p>
<p>To start create a new document sized <strong>1000&#215;500</strong> pixels and fill it with color of <strong>#f4f4f4</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_01.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 01" /></p>
<p>After that add some dark line to divide the floor from the wall. Get out the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> and create selection as shown on the picture which you can see below. Then fill this selected area with black to transparent gradient.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_02.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 02" /></p>
<p>Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_03.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 03" /></p>
<p>The result should look like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_04.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 04" /></p>
<p>Move to the next step. Select<strong> Horizontal Type Tool</strong> to write out the text on the middle of canvas on whish we will demonstrate displaced effect.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_5big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_05.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 05" /></a></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used <strong>Arial Black</strong> (250 pt, Crisp) as my font of choice. Then apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_06.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_07.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a> layer styles to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_06.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 06" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_07.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 07" /></p>
<p>The result should be next:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_8big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_08.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 08" /></a></p>
<p>Create a new one layer above and merge it with text layer to get all the styles in one layer. After that we need to add some shadow under the letters. Create a new one layer under the current and make elliptical selection with <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong>. Fill selected area with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_02.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 09" /></p>
<p>Remove selection with<strong> Ctrl+D </strong>and press <strong>Ctrl+F</strong> to apply the previous filter effect to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_10.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 10" /></p>
<p>Then apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Motion Blur</strong> with next presets:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_11.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 11" /></p>
<p>The result should be next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_12.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 12" /></p>
<p>Duplicate this layer three of times with<strong> Ctrl+J</strong> to add the shadow under each letter.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_13big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_13.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 13" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, after that go to the text layer and start creating displace effect. Use the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool</strong> to create selection as you can see on the picture below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_14big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_14.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 14" /></a></p>
<p>Press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+J</strong> to cut selected area on the new layer. Use <strong>Move Tool </strong>to move a new layer a little bit.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_15big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_15.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 15" /></a></p>
<p>Make the same things a few times more.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_16big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_16.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 16" /></a></p>
<p>Looks interesting, isn’t it? To finish off the effect I would like to add a robot that moves the text. The picture of robot you can download from <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_robot.png">here</a>. Also feel free to use your own pictures. So, open up the picture and copy it to our main canvas with text. Then reduce the picture a little bit.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_17.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 17" /></p>
<p>To finish off the tutorial we should add the shadow under robots’ leg. Create a new one layer under the current. Then use the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool</strong> to create selection which you can see on the picture below. After that fill this selection with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_18.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 18" /></p>
<p>Deselect chosen area with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and blur the shadow with <strong>Blur Tool</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_19.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 19" /></p>
<p>Then use the <strong>Smudge Tool</strong> (Brush: 10px, Mode: Normal: Strength: 33%) to bring the shadow realistic view.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_20.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 20" /></p>
<p>Add the shadow under second leg in the same way.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_21.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 21" /></p>
<p>Ok, we are done for now! We get creative displaced text effect. I am happy with the result, hope you to!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_22full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Displaced Text 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/displaced_text_22.jpg" alt="Displaced Text 22" /></a></p>

<p>In this tutorial you will learn how to create text on fire, also I will explain all the techniques how to transform the text in right format.</p>
<p><span id="more-5786"></span></p>
<p>First of all you&#8217;ll have to start by finding some appropriate picture. I prefer to use this one which you can see below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_01.jpg" alt="Text on Fire" /></p>
<p>Ok, now we need to add the text to the canvas to work with. Get out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and write out something like ‘Fire’ with any color you want.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 2" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_02.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 2" /></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used <strong>AvantGarde </strong>as my font of choice. Actually, it is commercial, but if you don’t have it, you can easily find a good alternative. After that I would like to add some layer styles such as <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_03.jpg">Drop Shadow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_04.jpg">Outer Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_05.jpg">Inner Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_06.jpg">Satin</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_07.jpg">Color Overlay</a> for this text layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 3" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_03.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 3" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 4" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_04.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 4" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 5" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_05.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 5" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 6" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_06.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 6" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 7" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_07.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 7" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 8" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_08.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 8" /></p>
<p>Ok, move to the next step. After that create a new layer above and merge it with text layers to get all the effects in one layer. Then select the <strong>Smudge Tool</strong> (Brush: 10 px, Mode: Normal, Strength: 79%) and try to make some strokes as on my picture you can see below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 9" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_09.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 9" /></p>
<p>Then apply <strong>Filter &gt; Liquify</strong> and play a little with different tools to get the result maximum similar to mine:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Text on Fire 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_10.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 10" /></p>
<p>And the last one thing that we need to do is to put the word into the fire. For this effect select the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> and a soft round brush about 20 pixels (Opacity: 40%) and make some clear work to finish off the tutorial.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/text_on_fire_11.jpg" alt="Text on Fire 11 title=" /></p>
<p>Looks cool! Thanks for reading everyone! Hope it was really very interesting for you!</p>

<p>I’m going to share with you about how to make modern designed text effect by using some layer styles. Is it interesting for you? If yes, let’s start to read and make!</p>
<p><span id="more-5528"></span></p>
<p>First of all, make a new document in Photoshop. I created a new document sized <strong>1000&#215;500</strong> pixels with all the default settings, RGB, 72 dpi and fill it with gradient by using colors of <strong>#8f9290</strong>, <strong>#303231</strong> and <strong>#8f9290</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_01.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>Then press <strong>D</strong> to set up standard colors for foreground and background (as black and white). After that apply <strong>Filter &gt; Sketch &gt; Halftone &gt; Pattern</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_02.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 02" /></p>
<p>Now you should have some pattern like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_03.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Create one more layer above and fill it with black color. Then change opacity to 85% for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_04.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 04" /></p>
<p>Now, start with creating text effect directly. Get out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and write out your text, for example ‘DREAMD’ in whatever color you want.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_05.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 05" /></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used a font called Incised901, which is one of standard Windows fonts. After that you should find some appropriate picture whish u can add to the text. It would be better if this is a picture with small elements. You can use some pics on Google Images or also feel free to use mine <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_picture.jpg">picture</a>. Open up the file and copy it to the main canvas above the text layer. Change <strong>opacity </strong>to <strong>70%</strong> for current layer and apply <strong>Edit &gt; Free Transform</strong> to reduce the picture a little bit. Hold <strong>Shift </strong>button to reduce it pro rata.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_06.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>Go to the text layer and use <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> to select text area. Remove this layer, we don’t need it more.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_07.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p>Go to the layer with picture and press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+J</strong> to cut selected area to the new layer. Set up <strong>opacity </strong>to <strong>100%</strong> for current layer again and remove the layer under also.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_08.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p>Use the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> to sharpen the text.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_09big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_09.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 09" /></a></p>
<p>Duplicate current layer with <strong>Ctrl+J</strong>. Then go to previous layer and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Motion Blur</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_10.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 10" /></p>
<p>Now we have interesting effect.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_11big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_11.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 11" /></a></p>
<p>Go to the upper layer again and apply the following layer styles to the text layer:<br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_12.jpg">Drop Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_13.jpg">Inner Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_14.jpg">Outer Glow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_15.jpg">Inner Glow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_16.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_17.jpg">Contour</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_18.jpg">Satin</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_19.jpg">Stroke</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Modern Designed Text Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/modern_designed_12.jpg" alt="Modern Designed Text Effect 12" /></p>

<p>In this small, but useful tutorial I’m going to share with you about how to make an interesting summer text effect by using some layer styles.</p>
<p><span id="more-5334"></span></p>
<p>First of all, we need to find the texture where we will demonstrate out text effect. Download my grass texture form <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_grass.jpg">here</a> or feel free to use your own textures.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_01.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>Ok, now I would like to add some small detail on the background, it should be something contrast and bright. I think the picture of butterfly will be fine. Download the picture of butterfly form <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_butterfly.png">here</a>. Open up it and copy it to our main canvas. Then press <strong>Ctrl+T </strong>to reduce picture of butterfly.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_02big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_02.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 02" /></a></p>
<p>Then apply the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> to sharpen current layer a little bit.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_03.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Ok, then apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_04.jpg">Drop Shadow</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_05.jpg">Outer Glow</a> layer styles to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_04.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 04" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_05.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 05" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_06.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 06" /></p>
<p>Now we can start with text effect. Get out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and write out your text, for example ‘Grass’ in whatever color you want.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_07big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_07.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 07" /></a></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used a font called Arial Black. Now, set up fill opacity to 0% for this text layer and apply the following layer styles to the text layer: <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_08.jpg">Drop Shadow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_09.jpg">Inner Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_10.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_11.jpg">Satin</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_12.jpg">Color Overlay</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_13.jpg">Stroke</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_08.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_09.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_10.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 10" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_11.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 11" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_12.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 12" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_13.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 13" /></p>
<p>Now your image should now look like the image shown below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_14big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_14.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 14" /></a></p>
<p>Well, we’re pretty much finished for this tutorial, thanks for taking the time to read it!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_15full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Summer Text Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/summer_text_15.jpg" alt="Interesting Summer Text Effect 15" /></a></p>

<p>On this Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show u how to make one interesting effect which I received by experimenting with Photoshop filters. In the end our effect will looks like cardiac rate.</p>
<p><span id="more-5256"></span></p>
<p>Ok, let’s begin. Create a new document sized 700&#215;700 pixels and fill it with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_01.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 01" /></p>
<p>After that apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_02.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a> layer style.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_02.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 02" /></p>
<p>The result should be next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_03.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 03" /></p>
<p>After that create a new layer and merge it with previous to get all effects in one layer. Then apply <strong>Filter &gt; Brush Strokes &gt; Sprayed Strokes</strong> with next parameters:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_04.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 04" /></p>
<p>See the difference now?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_05big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_05.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 05" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, now we can start with creating effect. Select the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool </strong>and write out something like ‘BEAT.’ Pay your attention that the text color should be white and different design elements also. Only in this way effect of applying a filter will be maximum.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_06.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used Swis721 as my font of choice, which is free and it’s sized at a meager 120 pt. Ok after that we need to add a few lines more. Select the <strong>Line Tool</strong> (Weight: 3 px) and draw the lines like on my picture below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_07big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_07.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 07" /></a></p>
<p>After that merge text layer with lines in one layer. Then select the<strong> Eraser Tool</strong> and hard round brush and make some clear work on the new layer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_08big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_08.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 08" /></a></p>
<p>Good, then rotate our layer about 90 degrees with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Rotate 90 CCW</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_09.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 09" /></p>
<p>After that apply<strong> Filter&gt;Stylize&gt;Wind</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_10.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 10" /></p>
<p>See the effect now:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_11big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_11.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 11" /></a></p>
<p>Then press <strong>Ctrl+F</strong> to enhance the action filter.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_12big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_12.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 12" /></a></p>
<p>After that apply<strong> Filter&gt;Stylize&gt;Wind</strong> again, but now you need to change some parameters:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_13.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 13" /></p>
<p>The result should be next:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_14big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_14.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 14" /></a></p>
<p>Again press <strong>Ctrl+F</strong> to enhance the action filter again.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_15big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_15.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 15" /></a></p>
<p>Looking good isn’t it? But this tutorial is not done for now. After that use <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Rotate 90 CW</strong> to rotate text with lines back.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_16.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 16" /></p>
<p>Then apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_17.jpg">Outer Glow</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_18.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer styles for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_17.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 17" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_18.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 18" /></p>
<p>Ok, now you should have the result like this on my picture below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_19big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_19.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 19" /></a></p>
<p>That is it. Great job!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_20full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/cardiac_rate_20.jpg" alt="Creating Cardiac Rate Effect 20" /></a></p>

<p>Here one more tutorial about how to create very interesting rainbow glare text effect.</p>
<p><span id="more-5067"></span></p>
<p>Let’s start! First of all you should create new document sized <strong>500&#215;500</strong> pixels and fill our new canvas with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_01.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>After that use the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> to add the text line with any color (I prefer to use white color) in the middle of the canvas. The font that I’ve used for this tutorial AvantGarde Md BT. Set up following presets for your text:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_02.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 02" /></p>
<p>You should have the same result as mine:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_03.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Ok, after that use <strong>Layer &gt; Rasterize &gt; Type</strong> to rasterize type layer. Then get out the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> to create selection as on my picture below and press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+J</strong> to cut selected letter to the new layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_04.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 04" /></p>
<p>After that apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_05.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer style to new layer:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_05.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 05" /></p>
<p>Now we have something like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_06.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 06" /></p>
<p>Ok, go back to the text line layer and cut every letter to separate layer in the same way. Apply the same <strong>Blending Options</strong> to each letter. Use following colors: <strong>#074d9d</strong>, <strong>#0496b7</strong>, <strong>#00992b</strong>, <strong>#8c9f09</strong>, <strong>#a55405</strong> and <strong>#9f0929</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_07.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p>After that merge all letters in one layer again and press <strong>Ctrl+J</strong> to duplicate current layer. Go to lower original layer and apply<strong> Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Motion Blur</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_08.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p>Now we have effect like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/rainbow_text_effect_09.jpg" alt="How to Create Interesting Rainbow Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p>Ok, looking good, isn’t it? Keep on creating effect. Go to the upper layer and use <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> to load selection of our text line. Now, use the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> and hold Alt button to cut away lower part of selection. Fill selected area with white to transparent gradient.</p>

<p>Ok, we are almost done! Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and use the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> again to add one more text line. Apply the next text presets for current text layer:</p>

<p>Nice short tutorial how to create simple but spectacular fabric text effect.</p>
<p><span id="more-4374"></span></p>
<p>Let’s go! First of all, make a new document in Photoshop. I created a new document sized <strong>1000&#215;500</strong> pixels with all the default settings, RGB, 72 dpi, transparent background etc. Then find some appropriate fabric texture. Actually, you can use Google Images to find the texture or feel free to <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_texture.jpg">use mine</a>. Open up the texture and copy it to the canvas.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_01.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>Now, duplicate this texture three of times and combine as below. Be attentive that texture edges are different (you can see arrows on the borders).</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_02big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_02.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 02" /></a></p>
<p>Use the <strong>Eraser Tool </strong>and a soft round brush about 50 ps to make the edge of textures softer and invisible.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_03big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_03.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 03" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, merge all of texture layers in one and apply <strong>Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Hue/Saturation</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_04.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 04" /></p>
<p>You should have the result similar to this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_05.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 05" /></p>
<p>Make texture clearer with <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong>:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_06.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, we are done with background. Let’s start to create text effect. Get out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong><strong> </strong>and write out your text, for example ‘ClotH’ in whatever color you want. I’ve used a font called <strong>Arial Black </strong>(300 pt, Crisp). This is standard Windows font.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_07.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p>After that change fill opacity to 85% for this layer and begin to create text effect. First of all we need to add some pattern to Photoshop patterns palette to use it for creating text effect later. Open <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_pattern.jpg">this texture</a> or find another one using Google Images and use <strong>Edit &gt; Define Pattern</strong> to save this picture as pattern. Go back to our created file and apply the following layer styles to the text layer:<br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_08.jpg">Drop Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_09.jpg">Inner Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_10.jpg">Outer Glow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_11.jpg">Inner Glow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_12.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_13.jpg">Contour</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_14.jpg">Satin</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_15.jpg">Color Overlay</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_16.jpg">Pattern Overlay</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_17.jpg">Stroke</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_08.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_09.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_10.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 10" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_11.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 11" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_12.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 12" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_13.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 13" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_14.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 14" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_15.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 15" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_16.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 16" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_17.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 17" /></p>
<p>Now your image should now look like the image shown below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_18big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Fabric Text Effect 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/fabric_text_18.jpg" alt="Fabric Text Effect 18" /></a></p>

<p>Cool unusual text effect. Would you like to know how to make it? Read the text below.</p>
<p><span id="more-4301"></span></p>
<p>Start by creating a new document to make this text effect. I created a small document sized <strong>500&#215;300</strong> pixels and fill it with color of <strong>#74a103</strong>:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="unusual_text_01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_01.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>After that cerate a new one layer, then select the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> and make the selection, then fill this selected area with color of <strong>#b6e100</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_02.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 02" /></p>
<p>Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_03.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Your result should look like mine:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_04.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 04" /></p>
<p>Now it’s time to add your text to the canvas! Start by getting out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> then write out your text.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_05.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 05" /></p>
<p>The font I’ve used above is called Futura. Ok, start to create the text effect. Rasterize this text layer with <strong>Layer &gt; Rasterize &gt; Type</strong>. Press <strong>Ctrl+J</strong> to copy the layer and hide the original layer (click on the eye, which indicates layer visibility). Go to the upper layer and apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_06.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a> layer style to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_06.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 06" /></p>
<p>See the difference now:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_07.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p>Start to transform current layer with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Skew</strong> to get the text as on my picture below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_08.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p>Now, we need to do is add the glare on the letters. Create a new layer and make selection using the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> as on picture below and fill it with white color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_09.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p>Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D </strong>and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with following parameters:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_10.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 10" /></p>
<p>The result you can see on the picture below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_11.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 11" /></p>
<p>After that create a new one layer, make selection using the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> and fill it with white color again.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_12.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 12" /></p>
<p>Remove selection and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with other parameters:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_13.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 13" /></p>
<p>Your image should look as mine.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_14.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 14" /></p>
<p>Merge two of these layers in one and rotate it a little bit with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Rotate</strong>:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_15.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 15" /></p>
<p>Duplicate this glare three of times and bring to each letter.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_16.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 16" /></p>
<p>Merge all glares in one layer. Ok, press Ctrl and Left click the text layer <strong>Thumbnail</strong> in the <strong>Layers Palette</strong> to make letters selection, then press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I </strong>to invert selection and use <strong>Delete</strong> to clear selected area.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_17.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 17" /></p>
<p>Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. Go back to the hidden text layer and make it visible again. After that apply <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Skew</strong> to skew this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_18.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 18" /></p>
<p>Don’t apply transformation unless don’t reduce the height of the letters with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Scale</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_19.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 19" /></p>
<p>Ok, apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_20.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer style to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_20.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 20" /></p>
<p>Now, we have different color for the letters.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_21.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 21" /></p>
<p>After that create a new one layer, then select the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool</strong> and begin to connect the upper part of the letter with its projection. After that fill selected area with color of <strong>#689106</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_22.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 22" /></p>
<p>Finish other letters in the same way.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 23" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_23.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 23" /></p>
<p>Ok, merge current layer with layer under. Now, we can start create volumetric letters. Get out the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool </strong>and create selection as on my picture below. Then apply the <strong>Dodge Tool</strong> (Brush: 45 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%).</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 24" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_24.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 24" /></p>
<p>After that press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong> to invert the selection and apply the <strong>Dodge Tool</strong> with similar settings as before.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 25" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_25.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 25" /></p>
<p>Ok, now select the <strong>Burn Tool</strong> (Brush: 45 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) and add a little bit more dark spots on the letter side. Then remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 26" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_26.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 26" /></p>
<p>Process other letters in the same way.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 27" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_27.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 27" /></p>
<p>And that’s pretty much it. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Unusual Text Effect 28" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/unusual_text_28full.jpg" alt="Cool Unusual Text Effect 28" /></p>

<p>In this small, but useful Photoshop tutorial we’ll be designing cool marble text effect.</p>
<p><span id="more-3980"></span></p>
<p>Get started by finding <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_Marble1.jpg">a nice, suitable photo</a> of the marble texture to work with. After that create a new document about <strong>1000&#215;500</strong> pixels and bring out texture to it. Now, we are starting to create the text effect. First of all we need to type some text, where the effect will be shown. Choose the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and type text with any color. Color is not important in this case. It’s desirable to use bold style of text for this effect. For this tutorial I used <strong>Arial Black</strong> font.</p>

<p>Time to start with creating the text effect. But in the beginning we need to choose the appropriate pattern we will use further in our text effect. I prefer to use <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_Marble2.jpg">this one</a>. Open it and save as pattern by going to <strong>Edit &gt; Define Pattern</strong>. Go back to our main document and apply following <strong>Blending Options</strong> to the text layer:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_02.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 02" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_03.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 03" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_04.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 04" /></p>

<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_07.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_08.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_09.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p>The result should be very good!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_10big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/marble_text_10.jpg" alt="Creating Cool Marble Text Effect 10" /></a></p>
<p>Looks good as for me! Use it, make it and enjoy your own nice text effects.</p>

<p>Well, this small but useful lesson about how to create text with the smoke effect.</p>
<p><span id="more-3558"></span></p>
<p>For the beginning let’s create a new document with the size of <strong>1000&#215;500</strong> pixels and fill it with some colour, for example, white.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_01.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 01" width="500" height="313" /></p>
<p>Now, apply the following layer style for this layer:<br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_02.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a>:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_02.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 02" /></p>
<p>We will have the next result:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_03.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 03" width="500" height="313" /></p>
<p>Time to add smoke pattern to background. To do this we should use brushes. You may use <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_smoke.abr">my brushes</a> or use your own. Choose the colour of <strong>#502d01</strong> and make several prints on the new layer:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_04big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_04.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 04" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Now I suppose, we need to focus sharpness of brushes. Use the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> (Brush: 600 px, Mode: Normal, Strength: 50%) and focus the sharpness. We should get the following result:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_05big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_05.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 05" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Well, it’s time to add the text. Use the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and type the text, for example: ‘SMOKE.’ Font which I used &#8211; <strong>Arial Black</strong> is standard font from Windows fonts library.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_06.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 06" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Now, we are starting to create an effect. But we need to find the right pattern before, which we will use in the text effect further. Using Google Images we may find the right pattern or you can <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_pattern.jpg">take mine</a>. Open it and save as a pattern. To do this: go to <strong>Edit &gt; Define Pattern</strong>.<br />
Now, go back to our main document and apply following <strong>Blending Options</strong> to this text layer:<br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_07.jpg">Drop Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_08.jpg">Inner Shadow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_09.jpg">Inner Glow</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_10.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_11.jpg">Contour</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_12.jpg">Pattern Overlay</a><br />
•	<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_13.jpg">Stroke</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_07.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 07" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_08.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 08" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_09.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 09" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_10.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 10" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_11.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 11" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_12.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 12" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_13.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 13" /></p>
<p>After all we will get the following result:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_14big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_14.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 14" /></a></p>
<p>At this point our lesson is over. I hope this simple, but interesting effect will be useful for your work or designing something. Thank you for your attention!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_15full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Smoked Text Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/smoked_text_15.jpg" alt="Smoked Text Effect 15" /></a></p>
