Here I’m going to show you one interesting fantastic glowing effect which you can use in your designs.

In the beginning you should create a new document with size about 500×500 pixels and fill it with black color.

Then find some appropriate picture of hand or other item you want. You can search for some pictures on Google Images or can use mine. Open up the picture and copy it to our main canvas.

Then use Magic Wand Tool to divide palm from the white background. Press Delete to clear selected area.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and begin creating the effect. Now, before we can start making glow parts of palm, I would like to note you that you have to get out the Brush Tool before and set up with the following settings:

Also set foreground color to white. Create a new layer, after that select the Pen Tool (you need to make sure that you’re working with Paths instead of Shape Layers). Draw out your line using paths:

Then right-click and select Stroke Path.

A little dialog box will appear as in the screenshot. Choose Brush and make sure there is a tick next to Simulate Pressure. This is important as it will give your curve tapered ends which will make it rock!

The picture use to look as mine:

Next right click again and select Delete Path.

Now, apply Outer Glow layer style to current layer.

The effect should be next:

Create a new line using the Pen Tool on the same way. Our task is to create the largest possible number of visible lines to make the silhouette clearer. In order not to create each line individually, and not spend too much time you can press Ctrl when finished to create a line, and click on the canvas. After that, you can create a new line regardless of the place where the previous line ended.

After that select the Direct Selection Tool and make selection of all the lines. Then make the same things to create glowing lines as before.

Ok and the last one step. Go to the layer with palm and set up fill opacity to 0% for this layer. Then apply Outer glow layer style to it.

The result should be next:

Have you ever seen any fruits or vegetables with a face? In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to make realistic view collage with fruit and human face.

In the beginning you should find the picture of ay fruit or vegetable. I prefer to use this one picture of pear. Open up the picture.

Then you need to find appropriate picture of human face to put it on the fruit. You can use mine picture or feel free to use your own. Ok, open up the picture and copy it to the first canvas with fruit. Then set up opacity to 45% for this layer and use Edit > Free Transform to reduce the picture and rotate it as on my picture below.

Set up opacity to 100% for current layer again and begin cleaning work with Eraser Tool. Use soft round brush with opacity about 30%. Remove all parts, leaving only the eyes, lips and nose.

After that select hard round brush and make clear finger area.

Press Ctrl+J to duplicate layer and hide the copy (click on the eye, which indicates layer visibility). Go to lower layer and apply Image > Adjustments > Color Balance with next presets:

After that use Image > Adjustments >Hue/Saturation:

The picture should look like this:

After that select the Burn Tool (Brush: 70px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) to make some burn work.

Go back to the hidden layer and make it visible again. Select the Eraser Tool again and remove all content, leaving just eyeballs, nostrils and mouth.

Then apply Image > Adjustments > Levels to this layer:

See the result below:

After that get out the Burn Tool (Brush: 70px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) again and darken nostrils and mouth areas.

Select the Eraser Tool and a soft round brush with 30% opacity and make little clean work on the same areas.

Looks good, isn’t it? Ok, move to the next step. We should add the pear texture to the face. Go to the background layer and make selection with Polygonal Lasso Tool as was shown on my picture below.

Press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected area on the new layer. After that move this layer above all the layers and change layer mode to Soft Light for it.

Then make some brightness and contrast corrections with Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast.

Now you should have something like this:

After that select the Eraser Tool again and remove clear borders of this texture.

Use the Burn Tool (Brush: 40px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) one more time to make features more clearly.

In this small Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show you some interesting effect which I have got by experimenting. You can apply it on your designs.

Create a new document about 1000×700 pixels. Select some appropriate colors, for example colors of #6b4c00, #190900 and drag a linear gradient.

After that I would like to add more colors to the background. For this create a new layer, use the Brush Tool and select a soft brush with the diameter 400 pixels and add some colors to your layout. I have used next colors: #fff000, #e7340a, #20f00a and #0a7dcd.

Then apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with similar settings to these:

Then change layer mode to Overlay for this layer.

Ok, now I would like to add some elements to the background. Select the Brush Tool and select one of the standard Photoshop brushes:

And add a few prints with white color on the new layer.

After that apply Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic with similar settings to these:

To receive the next effect:

Move to the next step. Now I would like to add the text. But I’m going to add it without using Type Tool. I will add it in different way. Select the Brush Tool and download these brushes. Then create a new layer and put every letter on it with color of #ffc088.

Duplicate the layer with Ctrl+J and apply Outer Glow for current layer.

Then go to the layer under and press Сtrl+F to apply Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic with similar presets again. After that mess with the layer mode & opacity/fill. I tried Hard Light with opacity of 60%.

Here I’ll be teaching you how to add the picture to the old parchment in easy way. This tutorial can be done even by beginners.

Ok, let’s begin! To start this tutorial you need to find some appropriate picture of old parchment. If you don’t have any, feel free to use mine.

Then we need to stylize our parchment before we put the picture on it. Select the Burn Tool (Brush: 150px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 63%) to add a few dark spots on the parchment canvas.

Now we can start with creating the image. To do this we need brushes, which can be downloaded from here. Select the Brush Tool, upload these brushes and make one print with color of #a17c0b on the new layer as shown on the picture below.

Begin stylize the picture. Change layer mode to Multiply for this layer. Then select the Eraser Tool and choose one of the standard Photoshop brushes:

Set up opacity about 50% for this eraser brush and begin cleaning work.

Then load selection with Select > Load Selection, go to Channels inset, create a new Alpha channel and fill selected area with white color in it.

After that apply Filter > Sketch > Halftone Pattern with similar settings to these:

The result should be next:

Use Select > Color Range to range color selection using pipette.

Now we have some selected area:

Go back to the Layers inset, create a new layer and fill selected area with color of #a17c0b.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and change layer mode to Multiply for this layer.

After that select the Eraser Tool with the same presets again and do small cleaning work one more time.

Here I’m going to learn how to easily add a realistic water reflection to your picture.

Here is the photo that I’ll be working with throughout this tutorial:

Also you can use your own pictures or find some appropriate pictures thru the Google Images. Ok, now I will explain you how to make the right reflection. In the beginning you should select the part of image what is above the water, then duplicate it and flip vertical. Then we will process copied part of image with some filters to get realistic view water reflection. Ok, using the Polygonal Lasso Tool create selection as was shown on my picture, which you can see below:

After that press Ctrl+J to copy selected part of image on the new layer. After that use Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical to flip new copied layer vertical and move it down as on picture below.

As you can see the shoreline is rough, that’s why we need to do some correction with it. Use the Eraser Tool to correct it a little bit. But pay your attention that we have some small island from the right side. Don’t remove it from the copied layer.

Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to select this island and press Ctrl+Shift+J to cut selected part of image on the new layer.

Now, move it a little bit down and apply Edit > Transform > Warp.

Merge this layer with previous again. Before we move to the next step, you need to make displacement map to create the water ripple effect. So, create a new document with the same size. Press D to reset Foreground and Background colors (Foreground color will be black and Background color will be white). Then fill canvas with white color. After that apply Filter > Sketch > Halftone Pattern:

Now you have something like this:

Save this document as Lines.psd and close it. Go back to our main document and select current layer with Select > Load Selection. After that apply Filter > Distort > Ripple:

You can see the result on the picture below:

Then apply Filter > Distort > Displace:

Click OK in the top right corner of the dialog box, and Photoshop will ask you which file you want to use as your displacement map. Choose the file that you just saved a moment ago (Lines.psd).

Now, press Ctrl+T to reduce the height of our reflection and press Enter.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D. After that to make reflection at the bottom of the picture more transparent apply Quick Mask Mode with gradient as below:

Then go back to Standard Mode. Now we have some selected area, press Delete to clear image in it.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and set up layer opacity to 50%. After that apply Filter > Blur > Motion Blur with similar settings to these:

The result should be next:

And the last one thing that we should add is ripples. For this effect create a new layer and add a few brush strokes with Brush Tool using white color.

After that set up foreground color as #022149 and add more brush strokes on the same layer with this color.

After that apply Filter > Blur > Motion Blur:

Change layer mode to Soft Light and you will get the final result:

On the picture below you can see the final result! I’m sorry but I’m done for now. Please feel free to experiment and you will get the best results!

On this Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show u how to make one interesting effect which I received by experimenting with Photoshop filters. In the end our effect will looks like cardiac rate.

Ok, let’s begin. Create a new document sized 700×700 pixels and fill it with black color.

After that apply Gradient Overlay layer style.

The result should be next:

After that create a new layer and merge it with previous to get all effects in one layer. Then apply Filter > Brush Strokes > Sprayed Strokes with next parameters:

See the difference now?

Ok, now we can start with creating effect. Select the Horizontal Type Tool and write out something like ‘BEAT.’ Pay your attention that the text color should be white and different design elements also. Only in this way effect of applying a filter will be maximum.

In the above image I’ve used Swis721 as my font of choice, which is free and it’s sized at a meager 120 pt. Ok after that we need to add a few lines more. Select the Line Tool (Weight: 3 px) and draw the lines like on my picture below:

After that merge text layer with lines in one layer. Then select the Eraser Tool and hard round brush and make some clear work on the new layer.

Good, then rotate our layer about 90 degrees with Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CCW.

After that apply Filter>Stylize>Wind with similar settings to these:

See the effect now:

Then press Ctrl+F to enhance the action filter.

After that apply Filter>Stylize>Wind again, but now you need to change some parameters:

The result should be next:

Again press Ctrl+F to enhance the action filter again.

Looking good isn’t it? But this tutorial is not done for now. After that use Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CW to rotate text with lines back.

Then apply Outer Glow and Color Overlay layer styles for this layer.

Ok, now you should have the result like this on my picture below.

To bring it realistic view apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with similar settings to these:

Change layer mode to Overlay and set opacity up to 80%. See what we have now:

Ok, move to the main strep of our tutorial. Select the Brush Tool and chose the one brush from the standard Photoshop brushes gallery:

After that reduce brush size till 30 pixels and draw out the text with black color on the new layer.

Reduce brush size till 8 pixels more and add small burr in some places.

To emphasize the focus on the text create a new one layer and fill it with white color. After that mess with the layer mode & opacity/fill. I tried Soft Light with a fill of 67%.

In this tutorial I will teach u how to create amazing laser beam based on illuminating effect and how to put it on the people body.

Get started by finding a suitable photo to work with. For this you’ll want to use Google Images or feel free to use my picture of young woman. Open up the picture and start the tutorial. I would like to add some cold blue hue to the picture. For this you may use Image > Adjustments > Levels with the same presets as you can see below:

The result should be the same as mine:

Ok, move to the next step. Time to add the first light beam. It is really so easy. Let me show you. But before we can start making the beam, I would like to note you that you need to get out the Brush Tool before and set up with the following settings:

Also set foreground color to #00ccff. After that select the Pen Tool (you need to make sure that you’re working with Paths instead of Shape Layers). Draw out the curve line using paths. Don’t forget that woman body has some reliefs, so in this case the line should be relief also because beam is refracted on the body and clothes.

Then right-click and select Stroke Path.

A little dialog box will appear as in the screenshot. Choose the Brush resource and press Ok.

Next right click again and select Delete Path. So, your picture uses to look as mine:

Ok, good start! After that apply Outer Glow layer style to the current layer:

And the result should be next:

Then, select the Eraser Tool and a soft round brush to clear line in a sharp fracture line places.

After that get out the Smudge Tool (Strength: 100%) and for the brush resource chose one of the standard Photoshop brushes and reduce it size till 15 pixels.

Then make some strokes as on my picture below:

Ok, looking good, isn’t it? Make the same thing two more times:

Good, three laser beams will be enough for now. Then move to the second part of this tutorial. I think that we should add some highlight from the beams on the woman’s body and clothes. Get out the Polygonal Lasso Tool and select the face area. After that create a new layer and change layer mode to Overlay for this layer. Then choose the Brush Tool (Soft brush about 80 pixels, Opacity: 20%) and add some blue spots using the color of #00ccff like on my picture below.

Now, reduce brush size till 8 pixels and underscore the lips lines.

Ok, we are done with face area. After that invert selection with Select > Inverse and process the hands and neck areas in the same way also.

And the last one area that we need to add the blue hue is clothes.

Ok, now remove selection with Ctrl+D. So, on this step we are done with tutorial!

Laser beams looks amazing and fantastic as for me. Feel free to experiment and you will get the best results!

In the beginning create a new document sized 500×500 pixels and fill it with black color.

Then apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise with similar settings to these:

Now we have an effect like this:

Ok, after that apply one more Filter > Sketch > Chrome:

Now, apply Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation with following parameters to the current layer:

Ok, move to the next step. After that you need to find some appropriate picture to put it on the canvas. Go to Google Images and find the picture of fish or another sea dweller. Also feel free to use mine picture. Open up the picture and use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to divide the picture from the white background as was shown on my screenshot below.

Press Ctrl+C to copy selected part of image, then go back to the main canvas and press Ctrl+V to paste copied fragment here. After that reduce the fragment a little bit with Edit > Free Transform.

Now, set foreground color as #bbe8ff and set background color as black. Then create a new one layer and apply Filter > Render > Clouds:

Change layer mode to Hard Light.

Merge all layers in one and apply Filter > Distort >Glass and use these values:

And the result should be next:

Let’s start with a new document. For this Photoshop tutorial I’m using a rather puny size of 700×700 pixels, feel free to use a larger size though. Select some appropriate colors, for example colors of #7000a4, #911661 and drag a linear gradient.

After that use the Smudge Tool (Brush: 100px, Mode: Normal, Strength: 50%) to add a couple of paint-brush strokes.

Ok, after that create the texture. Apply Filter > Texture > Texturizer with next presets:

We made our fabric texture like on the picture below.

Let’s add some folds to our fabric. Select the Burn Tool (Brush: 100 px, Mode: Shadows, Exposure: 20%) and add a few dark lines to the canvas.

Now, apply the Dodge Tool (Brush: 100 px, Mode: Highlights, Exposure: 30%) to enhance contrast of the folds.

Reduce the brush size and add thin bright lines on the top of folds.

Looks good, isn’t it? And the last one thing that we have to do is add chameleon effect to our fabric. For this apply Quick Mask Mode with gradient as below:

Then go back to Standard Mode. Now we have some selected area.

Apply Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (or press Ctrl+U) to selected area with similar settings to these:

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and we get the next chameleon effect:
