<p>In this tutorial, I&#8217;ll tell you how to create a pseudo surround effect using just Photoshop tools.</p>
<p><span id="more-4713"></span></p>
<p>Ok, lets’ go! Start with creating new document <strong>500&#215;500</strong> pixels. Fill the background with a linear gradient using the color <strong>#2d120b</strong> and <strong>#532803</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_01.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 01" /></p>
<p>After that I would like to add some pattern to the background to make the text effect more evident. Get out the <strong>Rectangle Tool</strong> and create white line as on my picture you can see below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_02big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_02.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 02" /></a></p>
<p>Use <strong>Ctrl+T</strong> to rotate this line. Hold the<strong> Shift</strong> button to rotate the line exactly 45 degrees.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_03big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_03.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 03" /></a></p>
<p>After that duplicate this layer more times and move left and right to create the same grid as on my screenshot.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_04big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_04.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 04" /></a></p>
<p>Then mess with the layer mode &amp; opacity/fill. I tried <strong>Overlay</strong> with opacity of 25%.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_05big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_05.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 05" /></a></p>
<p>Duplicate this layer with <strong>Ctrl+J</strong> and flip horizontal with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Flip Horizontal</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_06.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>Now, start with creating pseudo surround effect. Get out the <strong>Custom Shape Tool</strong> and find some appropriate shape from the palette:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_07.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 07" /></p>
<p>You can download this shape from <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_shapes.csh">here</a> if you don’t have it. Use the color <strong>#998900</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_08.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 08" /></p>
<p>After that rasterize shape with <strong>Layer &gt; Rasterize &gt; Shape </strong>and set fill opacity up to 40%. Then apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_09.jpg">Inner Shadow</a>,<a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_10.jpg"> Outer Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_11.jpg">Inner Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_12.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a>, and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_13.jpg">Stroke</a> layer styles to this layer:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_09.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 09" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_10.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 10" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_11.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 11" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_12.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 12" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_13.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 13" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_14big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_14.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 14" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, select the <strong>Burn Tool</strong> (Brush: 200 px, Range: Shadows, Exposure: 50%) and make a little burn work in the bottom of the shape.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_15big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_15.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 15" /></a></p>
<p>Looks better then before, isn’t it? Next up is the shine effect. Use <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> to select the shape and then apply <strong>Select &gt; Modify &gt; Contract </strong>to reduce selected area about 2 pixels.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_16.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 16" /></p>
<p>Ok, now I would like to cut away unnecessary part of selection. For this use <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong>, hold <strong>Alt+Shift</strong> and cut away the part of selection.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_17.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 17" /></p>
<p>Then fill selected area with white to transparent gradient on the new layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_18.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 18" /></p>
<p>Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and change opacity to 50% for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_19.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 19" /></p>
<p>Add more glares to other parts of shape in the same way.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_20.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 20" /></p>
<p>Move to the last step of the tutorial. Move under the shape layer and let’s add some text to demonstrate our effect more. Get out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and write out something like ‘Splatter World’ using color of <strong>#d2af72</strong>. The font that I’ll just be using for this tutorial called<strong> BellCent BdList BT</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_21.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 21" /></p>
<p>I’m sorry but this tutorial is done! Feel free to experiment and you will get the best results!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_22full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pseudo_surround_22.jpg" alt="Pseudo Surround Styled Effect 22" /></a></p>

<p>Here one more interesting tutorial about how to design interesting stylish advert in just a few steps.</p>
<p><span id="more-4681"></span></p>
<p>Get started by creating a new document about <strong>700&#215;500</strong> pixels, resolution (DPI) of 72 pixels and then fill it with linear gradient using colors <strong>#0582ae</strong> and <strong>#0ab7db</strong>.</p>

<p>Here I&#8217;ll show you how to make a collage, using mosaic effect.</p>
<p><span id="more-4609"></span></p>
<p>Ok, start with creating a new document sized <strong>500&#215;500</strong> pixels and use the <strong>Paint Bucket Tool</strong> to fill canvas area with color of <strong>#355b00</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_01.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 01" /></p>
<p>After that create a new layer and apply the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to make a sphere selection as on a picture below, then fill this selected area with color of <strong>#97f501</strong></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_02.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 02" /></p>
<p>Remove selection with pressing <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and for the image jitter apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with <strong>67 </strong>pixels of radius.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_03.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Then mess with the layer mode. I tried <strong>Overlay</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_04.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 04" /></p>
<p>Merge two of these layers in one and start with creating mosaic. I want to try to draw mosaic flower. Let’s start! In the beginning create a new one layer and then select the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to make selection like on the picture below. Fill this selection with any color you like, It doesn’t matter now.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_05big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_05.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 05" /></a></p>
<p>After that create another one selection as on my screenshot what you can see below, invert it with <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong> and press <strong>Delete </strong>button to clear selection.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_06.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. We get the first petal of the mosaic. Move it in the same position as mine.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_07.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 07" /></p>
<p>After that duplicate this layer (<strong>Layer &gt; Duplicate Layer</strong>), then reduce it a little bit and rotate with <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Free Transform</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_08big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_08.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 08" /></a></p>
<p>Make the petal selection using <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> and apply <strong>Select &gt; Modify &gt; Expand</strong> to expand selection about 2 pixels. Move to the lower layer and press <strong>Delete</strong> to clear selection. Your result should be as mine.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_09big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_09.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 09" /></a></p>
<p>Now, remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. Move to the upper layer again and duplicate it with <strong>Ctrl+J</strong>. After that merge all layers with petals in one layer, except topmost. Go back to it and rotate it as the layer before.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_10big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_10.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 10" /></a></p>
<p>Create more petals in the same way.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_11big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_11.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 11" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, after that merge all of layers with petals in one and apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_12.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_13.jpg">Stroke</a> layer styles for current layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_12.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 12" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_13.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 13" /></p>
<p>See the result below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_14.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 14" /></p>
<p>Ok, now I would like to add a couple of other colors petals to create cool mosaic effect. Create a new one leaf as was written on this lesson in the beginning. Apply color of <strong>#82a203</strong> for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_15.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 15" /></p>
<p>After that apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_16.jpg">Stroke</a> layer style to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_16.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 16" /></p>
<p>Now, we have something like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_17.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 17" /></p>
<p>Ok, then add a couple of petals more to the mosaic. Apply the same <strong>Blending Options</strong> as before to each layer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_18big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_18.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 18" /></a></p>
<p>Merge all layers with petals in one layer. After that select the <strong>Burn Tool</strong> (Brush: 100 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 50%) to add gradients somewhere on the flower.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_19big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_19.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 19" /></a></p>
<p>Apply another one <strong>Blending Option</strong> to received layer: <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_20.jpg">Outer Glow</a>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_20.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 20" /></p>
<p>You can see the result below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_21.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 21" /></p>
<p>After that move to the next step. Press<strong> Ctrl+J</strong> to copy the layer and hide the copy (click on the eye, which indicates layer visibility). Go to lower layer and set opacity up to 18%. Go back to the hidden copy of layer and make it visible again. Press <strong>Ctrl+T</strong> to reduce this layer as was shown on my picture below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_22big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_22.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 22" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, we are almost done with this tutorial, but one more step left. Then I would like to add some floral elements. For this you can use <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_brushes.abr">these brushes</a> or feel free to use your own. Go to the background layer and create a new one layer above. Create a composition like on picture shown below using <strong>Brush Tool</strong> and white color of prints. Change layer mode to <strong>Overlay</strong> and set opacity up to 40% for this layer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_23big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 23" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_23.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 23" /></a></p>
<p>After that create a new one layer more and add a couple of floral prints more in black color. Set opacity up to 25% for this layer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_24big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 24" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_24.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 24" /></a></p>
<p>Looks good, isn’t it? Hope I liked this tutorial and get adorable results. We are done for now! Good luck in your experiments!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_25full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 25" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/collage_25.jpg" alt="Make a Collage Using Mosaic Effect 25" /></a></p>

<p>Here is one more tutorial about creating space landscape. It is not so difficult but very useful. I’ll teach you how to recreate solar eclipse in space.</p>
<p><span id="more-4470"></span></p>
<p>So, let’s begin to recreate it! Set foreground color as <strong>#500000</strong> and background color as black. After that apply <strong>Filter &gt; Render &gt; Clouds</strong> to our canvas.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_01.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 01" /></p>
<p>To change the background color at the bottom of the picture apply <strong>Quick Mask Mode</strong> with gradient as below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_02.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 02" /></p>
<p>Then go back to <strong>Standard Mode</strong>. Now we have some selected area.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_03.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 03" /></p>
<p>Change color of selected area with <strong>Image &gt; Adjustment &gt; Hue/Saturation</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_04.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 04" /></p>
<p>See the difference now?</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_05.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 05" /></p>
<p>Ok, move further. Remove the selection with <strong>Select &gt; Deselect</strong>, after that create a new layer and fill it with black color. Apply<strong> Filter &gt; Noise &gt; Add Noise</strong> to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_06.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 06" /></p>
<p>Change layer style to screen and use <strong>Image &gt; Adjustment &gt; Levels</strong> with next presets:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_07.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 07" /></p>
<p>Now we have picture as below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_08big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_08.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 08" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, now select the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> and a soft round brush and make a little clear work to get the result as on my picture below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_09big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_09.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 09" /></a></p>
<p>Time to recreate the solar eclipse. In the beginning try to find some appropriate <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_texture.jpg">texture of magma</a> what we will use for the sun recreating. Feel free to use your own textures also. Open up this picture and copy to our main canvas.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_10.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 10" /></p>
<p>Then get out the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to create round selection as shown on the picture below. Invert selection with <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong> and use <strong>Delete </strong>to clear selected area.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_11big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_11.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 11" /></a></p>
<p>Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and duplicate current layer using <strong>Ctrl+J</strong>. Ok, move to original lower layer and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_12.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 12" /></p>
<p>Your result should be next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_13.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 13" /></p>
<p>Ok, apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_14.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer style to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_14.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 14" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_15.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 15" /></p>
<p>Use the <strong>Smudge Tool</strong> to create sunlight beams.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_16.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 16" /></p>
<p>Ok, now move to copied upper layer again and start to process it. In the beginning select it with <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> and after that apply <strong>Filter &gt; Distort &gt; Spherize</strong>. Use next parameters for this filter.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_07.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 07" /></p>
<p>Remove the selection. See the result below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_18.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 18" /></p>
<p>Then apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_19.jpg">Inner Shadow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_20.jpg">Outer Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_21.jpg">Inner Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_22.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer styles to this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_19.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 19" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_20.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 20" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_21.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 21" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_22.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 22" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 23" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_23.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 23" /></p>
<p>Looks better than before, don’t you think? Move to the next step. Create a new layer and use the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to create round selection, fill it with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 24" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_24.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 24" /></p>
<p>Deselect this layer with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur</strong> with next presets:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 25" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_25.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 25" /></p>
<p>Your image should look as mine:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 26" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_26.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 26" /></p>
<p>Ok, and the last one step that you need to do is to make optical lens flare. For this effect create a new one layer and will it with black color. Change layer mode for this layer to <strong>Screen</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Render &gt; Lens Flare</strong>:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 27" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_27.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 27" /></p>
<p>Looks cool as for me!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_28big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 28" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_28.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 28" /></a></p>
<p>We are done for now! Hope you have the same good result! Don’t be afraid to experiment and you will get the best results!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_29full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 29" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/solar_eclipse_29.jpg" alt="Recreating Solar Eclipse in Space 29" /></a></p>

<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_03.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 03" /></p>
<p>Now we have something like this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_04.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 04" /></p>
<p>Not really looks like icon is not it? Don’t worry, we process the tutorial. Now, use the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool </strong>to make the selection what you can see on my screenshot below, then create a new layer and fill the selection with dark blue (<strong>#1c2133</strong>) to transparent gradient.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_05.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 05" /></p>
<p>Ok, now select our round shape icon (Ctrl+Left click on the layer thumbnail in layers palette) and invert the selection with <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong>. clear selected area by pressing <strong>Delete</strong> button.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_06.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 06" /></p>
<p>Deselect chosen area with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and move to the next step of the tutorial. Use the <strong>Ellipse Tool </strong>again to make a new one round shape with color of <strong>#5ebf1a</strong>. Be attentively that second one round shape should be a little bit less then the main shape.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_07.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 07" /></p>
<p>Then apply such layer styles as <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_08.jpg">Inner Glow</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_09.jpg">Stroke</a> to this shape layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_08.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 08" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_09.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 09" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_10.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 10" /></p>
<p>But we are not finished the icon yet! Go on! Rasterize this shape with <strong>Layer &gt; Rasterize &gt; Shape</strong>. Then get out the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to make the similar selection as was before in the beginning of this tutorial, then use the <strong>Dodge Tool </strong>(Brush: 100 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 20%) to make the bottom part of green shape a little lighter.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_11.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 11" /></p>
<p>After that invert the selection with <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I </strong>and change <strong>Dodge Tool Range</strong> from <strong>Midtones to Highlights</strong> and continue to work.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_12.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 12" /></p>
<p>Ok, after that revert the selection back and now use the <strong>Burn Tool</strong> (Brush: 100px, Range : Midtones, Exposure: 30%) to add the contrast to the button.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_13.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 13" /></p>
<p>Ok, we are almost done! Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D </strong>and move to the next step. I would like to bring some ornament to the green shape. Select the <strong>Custom Shape Tool</strong> and use one of the standard Photoshop shapes from the gallery. I tried to use this one:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_14.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 14" /></p>
<p>It will look better if we apply some <strong>Blending Option</strong> such as <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_15.jpg">Drop Shadow </a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_15.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 15" /></p>
<p>The result should be the same as mine:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_16.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 16" /></p>
<p>Ok, now merge all of layers of the icon in one and apply <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Distort</strong>:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_17.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 17" /></p>
<p>After that duplicate this layer using <strong>Ctrl+J</strong> and move the lower original layer as in my picture below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_18.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 18" /></p>
<p>Use the <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_19.jpg">Color Overlay</a> layer style for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_19.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 19" /></p>
<p>See the difference now?</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 20" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_20.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 20" /></p>
<p>It remains to add a shadow at the bottom and our icon will be ready. Ok, move to the background layer and create a new layer above. Select the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool </strong>to create the selection as on my picture below and fill it with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 21" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_21.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 21" /></p>
<p>Deselect this layer with <strong>Select &gt; Deselect</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur </strong>with similar settings to these:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 22" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_22.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 22" /></p>
<p>Then apply another one <strong>Filter &gt; Blur &gt; Motion Blur</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 23" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_23.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 23" /></p>
<p>The result should be the next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 24" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_24.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 24" /></p>
<p>Ok, we are done for now! Also I made a couple of icons more. Try to experiment and the result will be better that ever!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 25" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Stylish_Icons_25full.jpg" alt="Stylish Icons for Website or Multimedia Presentation 25" /></p>

<p>Here is one more interesting tutorial how to create an interesting graffiti effect on the wall using Photoshop tools.</p>
<p><span id="more-4277"></span></p>
<p>So, let’s start! First of all it will be good to find the wall texture. I tried <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_wall.jpg">this one</a>. Open up this file and start to stylize the texture. In the beginning use<strong> Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Hue/Saturation</strong> with next presets.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_01.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 01" /></p>
<p>Correct hue, saturation and brightness for current texture. You result should be next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_02.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 02" /></p>
<p>Ok, move to the next step. This texture will be better with adding a little bit sharpness. Use the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> and a soft round brush about <strong>400px</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_03.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 03" /></p>
<p>Looks better, don’t you think? Now, start with graffiti. Go to Google Images and find some appropriate image (pay your attention that we will use just image, no photos). <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_man.png">This one</a> will be good. Open up it and copy to the main canvas with texture. Change layer mode for this picture to <strong>Multiply</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_04big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_04.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 04" /></a></p>
<p>You might also want to try stylize it. I have one interesting idea for you. Get started by selecting the <strong>Smudge Tool </strong>and use one of the standard Photoshop brushes.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_05.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 05" /></p>
<p>Create a couple of long smudges as on my picture below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_06.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 06" /></a></p>
<p>After that select the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> to make it sharpen.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_07big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_07.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 07" /></a></p>
<p>This design wouldn’t be complete without some sort of text now, would it? Start by getting out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool </strong>and write out some text, in this case I used two lines of text.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_08.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 08" /></p>
<p>The graffiti font which I’ve used above is called Eraser, and you can download it completely for free from <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_eraser.ttf">here</a>. After you’re all done with the text settings, position it accordingly by using <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Rotate</strong> and move it up a little bit.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_09.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 09" /></p>
<p>Looks good, isn’t it? Ok, move to the next step. To create an impression that the text dealt with the stencil. Use the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool</strong> to create selection as on my picture below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_10.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 10" /></p>
<p>Then reverse the selected area with<strong> Ctrl+Shift I</strong> and then get out the <strong>Brush Tool</strong> and one of the standard Photoshop brushes to create spray spots with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_11.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 11" /></p>
<p>The result should be the next:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_12.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 12" /></p>
<p>Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. We are done for now! Enjoy your own cool graffiti and don’t be afraid to experiment!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_13full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/graffiti_effect_13.jpg" alt="An Interesting Graffiti Effect 13" /></a></p>

<p>A quick Photoshop tutorial on the making of an interesting clouds text. Actually, we can make not only the text, but different shapes to. It is very interesting effect for me.</p>
<p><span id="more-4257"></span></p>
<p>Start with creating a new document sized <strong>1000х500</strong> px, after that select some appropriate colors, for example colors of <strong>#3497b6</strong>, <strong>#97d5e6</strong> and drag a linear gradient.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_01.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 01" /></p>
<p>Ok, then type the text using the <strong>Horizontal Text Tool</strong>. Write out something like ‘SKY’ with <strong>Arial Black </strong>font, that comes with Windows. Use following presets for current text layer:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_02.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 02" /></p>
<p>You can see the result on my screenshot below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_03.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 03" /></p>
<p>Good, time to create clouds background. Select the <strong>Brush Tool</strong> to load <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_clouds.abr">these brushes</a> to make cloud prints on the canvas. Then create a new layer and make a couple of different cloud prints on the new layer with white color. Don’t forget to reduce the real size of each brush to 90-100 px previously.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_04big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_04.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 04" /></a></p>
<p>The next step, what you need to do to select the text shape. Press Ctrl+Left click on the text layer on the layer thumbnails to do it. Then you can delete text layer because we don’t need it more. Use <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong> to invert selected area and clear it with pressing <strong>Delete </strong>button. Deselect chosen area with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_05big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_05.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 05" /></a></p>
<p>After that get out the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> and a soft round brush and make sharp letters borders softer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_06big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_06.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 06" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, select the <strong>Brush Tool</strong> again and add a couple of small size clouds more to bring our letters more realistic view.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_07big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_07.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 07" /></a></p>
<p>After that create a new layer and add a little bit original size brushes on the foreground. Don’t forget to set up opacity for this layer to 25%.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_08big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_08.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 08" /></a></p>
<p>We are done! Thanks for reading this tutorial everyone, I hope you enjoyed it! Please feel free to experiment not only with text. Also you can create different shapes.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_09full.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Clouds Text 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/clouds_text_09.jpg" alt="Clouds Text 09" /></a></p>

<p>Here is one more short, but very useful tutorial about creating neon glowing effect using just Photoshop tools.</p>
<p><span id="more-4238"></span></p>
<p>Very simple! First of all, create a new documend sized <strong>500&#215;500 </strong>pixels and fill it with black color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_01.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 01" /></p>
<p>After that select the <strong>Custom Shape Tool </strong>and select one of the standard Photoshop custom shapes, what you can see below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_02.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 02" /></p>
<p>Create the same shape on your canvas, using white color.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_03.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 03" /></p>
<p>Ok, move to the next step. Use the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool </strong>to write out the text, what you can see on my screenshot below.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_04.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 04" /></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used a font called <strong>Incised901 NdIt BT</strong>, which is sadly a commercial font. Feel free to use another font or buy or ‘get’ a nice font from somewhere if you don’t have it. Then merge text layer with custom shape layer and duplicate new layer with <strong>Ctrl+J</strong>. Apply<strong> Filter &gt; Pixelate &gt; Fragment</strong> to the copied layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_05.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 05" /></p>
<p>Apply two more times this filter with pressing <strong>Ctrl+F</strong> two of times.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_06.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 06" /></p>
<p>Ok, then we need to enlarge current layer a little bit. Use <strong>Edit &gt; Transform &gt; Free Transform</strong> and set up following settings for this layer on the preferences panel:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_07.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 07" /></p>
<p>Now, we have very interesting effect like this one:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_08.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 08" /></p>
<p>After that go to the original layer under and set up opacity to 40% for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_09.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 09" /></p>
<p>Merge this layer with copied layer above and change it color using <strong>Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Hue/Saturation</strong> with following presets:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_10.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 10" /></p>
<p>See the difference now:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_11.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 11" /></p>
<p>Go to the next step. I think, this effect will looks better with some layer style, for example, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_12.jpg">Outer Glow</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_12.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 12" /></p>
<p>Finished result you can see here:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Cool Neon Glow 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/neon_glow_13.jpg" alt="Cool Neon Glow 13" /></p>
<p>We are done for this tutorial! If you have any questions at all, please fill out the form below and submit a comment, I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.</p>

<p>I’m going to share with you about how to make underwater text effect by using some layer styles. Is it interesting for you? If yes, let’s start to read and make!</p>
<p><span id="more-4135"></span></p>
<p>First of all, find a good photo of underwater. Use Google Images to find the picture. Also you can <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_Underwater.jpg">use mine</a>. Open this picture, then select the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> to write out something like ‘WATER’ with any color in the middle of canvas. Color is not important in this case.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Water Text Effect 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_01.jpg" alt="Interesting Water Text Effect 01" /></p>
<p>In the above image I’ve used a font called AG_Cooper, which is sadly a commercial font. Feel free to try a different font. Ok, go on! I would like to find another one water texture where we can demonstrate water text effect. Use Google Images again or feel free to use <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_Water.jpg">my picture</a>. Open it and bring to our main canvas. Select the text (Ctrl+ left click on the text layer in layer palette thumbnail).</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_02big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Water Text Effect 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_02.jpg" alt="Interesting Water Text Effect 02" /></a></p>
<p>Then press <strong>Ctrl+Shift+I</strong> to invert the selection and clear selected area by pressing <strong>Delete</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_03big.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Interesting Water Text Effect 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_03.jpg" alt="Interesting Water Text Effect 03" /></a></p>
<p>Remove the selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong> and apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_04.jpg">Inner Shadow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_05.jpg">Outer Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_06.jpg">Inner Glow</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_07.jpg">Bevel and Emboss</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_08.jpg">Contour</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_09.jpg">Satin</a>, <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_10.jpg">Color Overlay</a> and <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/water_text_11.jpg">Stroke</a> layer styles for current layer.</p>

<p>Here I’ll show you how to design a simple but stylish professional fashion-themed advert.</p>
<p><span id="more-4004"></span></p>
<p>First of all you&#8217;ll have to start by making a new document; in my case <strong>700&#215;800</strong> pixels, 72 dpi and fill it with any color. After that apply <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_01.jpg">Gradient Overlay</a> layer style for this layer.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 01" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_01.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 01" /></p>
<p>It is very important to make move white color scroll and increase the area of white color. In future we will add to our advert some objects on white background, therefore, there should be no visible boundaries of objects backgrounds.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 02" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_02.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 02" /></p>
<p>Ok, move to the next step. Start by getting out the <strong>Ellipse Tool</strong>, then create a new layer and make a few black round shapes on your canvas.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_03big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 03" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_03.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 03" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Then change layer mode to Overlay and set opacity up to 40%.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_04big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 04" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_04.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 04" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, now find a <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_woman.jpg">nice, suitable stock photo</a> to work with and bring it to the canvas as shown on my picture below:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_05big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 05" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_05.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 05" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>After that get out the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool</strong> and separate girl from the background.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_06big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 06" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_06.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 06" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Deactivate selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. Now, time to add some flowers to the back ground. Create a new layer, then select the <strong>Brush Tool</strong> and make some flower prints using <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_brushes.abr">these brushes</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_07big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 07" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_07.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 07" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Select these prints with <strong>Select &gt; Load Selection</strong> and remove current layer. After that create new layer, then set foreground and background colors as <strong>#a2ca00</strong> and <strong>#005b6b</strong> and apply <strong>Filter &gt; Render &gt; Clouds</strong> to selected area. Remove selection with <strong>Ctrl+D</strong>. See the result now:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_08big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 08" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_08.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 08" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, after that use the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> to clear woman’s body from prints, but don’t clear transparent mantle area now.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_09big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 09" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_09.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 09" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Then set eraser opacity up to 50% and make a little clear work on the transparent mantle area. You should receive something like this:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_10big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 10" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_10.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 10" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Looks good, isn’t it? Ok, go on. Now, you need to find some appropriate stock photo of the <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_perfumes.jpg">perfumes</a>. Bring it to the canvas and reduce a little bit.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_11big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 11" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_11.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 11" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Ok, after that select the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> to clear white background out the perfumes on top.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 12" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_12.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 12" /></p>
<p>Then change it color from pink to some suitable. You can do this with <strong>Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Hue/Saturation</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 13" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_13.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 13" /></p>
<p>See the result below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 14" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_14.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 14" /></p>
<p>Looks good as for me! Move to the next step. To finish off the design part of advert I think, we should add some diamond on the white floor. Use <a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_diamonds.jpg">my stock photo</a> or feel free to use your own pictures. Open up the picture and bring some parts of the picture to our main canvas. You can make a couple of copies of each diamond. Reduce each diamond as shown on my screenshot.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_15big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 15" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_15.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 15" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>After that use the <strong>Sharpen Tool</strong> to make sharpen those diamonds what are in the foreground.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_16big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 16" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_16.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 16" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>For diamond in the background use the <strong>Blur Tool</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_17big.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 17" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_17.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 17" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>This design wouldn’t be complete without some sort of text now, would it? Start by getting out the <strong>Horizontal Type Tool</strong> and write out some text with color of <strong>#005063</strong>. For this tutorial I used <strong>Bickham Script Pro</strong> font.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full" title="Stylish Professional Advert 18" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_18.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 18" /></p>
<p>Well, we’re done for the tutorial! I hope you enjoyed it, even just a little bit. I hope you become a specialist in fashion-themed advert!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_19full.jpg"><img class="size-full alignnone" title="Stylish Professional Advert 19" src="http://www.photoshopstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/professional_advert_19.jpg" alt="Stylish Professional Advert 19" width="500" height="313" /></a></p>
